Work Study Student
August 2014-September 2017
Description: During my time working for the Bellarmine School of Communication, I produced multiple types of media for the school and completed a wide variety of tasks for professors and the dean. Tasks included designing flyers and banners for events sponsored by the school, created social media posts for the School of Communication Facebook and Instagram pages, etc.
During my time at the School of Communication, I was asked to design a postcard showcasing the wide variety of internships our current students have received and jobs our past students have worked for or currently work for to show what students can do with a communication degree. These were printed and distributed at numerous School of Communication sponsored events since 2014.
I was also assigned the task of creating informational flyers that were posted in the building where communication classes are held, select spots on campus, and handed out to students who showed interest political communication or media development. The phrasing was was chosen by the dean of the communication department, and the rest was left to me.
These images are flyers that I have designed and posted for the School of Communication. Flyer topics include information on the program, service opportunities, special events, and contests for students at Bellarmine.
I was tasked with creating a generic call to action for the Bellarmine School of Communication social media pages. This was meant to be an image that could be used repetitively each school year to encourage the students at Bellarmine University to follow the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages of the School of Communication.
I was also tasked with creating an image Spok with the face of a communication/film professor who was promoting a viewing of Star Trek TV episodes for a film club and film class on the School of Communication social media pages.
I was also chosen to create the Class of 2016 video that is shown at the School of Communication's Senior Award Ceremony, where seniors are invited to present a project they are proud of from their four years at Bellarmine, and accept any awards and honors they have received before graduation.
