This page serves the purpose of further demonstrating my creativity and design ability. The page displays some projects I was hired by various clients to create, along with descriptions of the assignments below the images to give clarity and context to each image/ set of images. Projects vary in medium and subject matter.
These cardstock boxes are designed to store and package (not shipping) a haunted house and gingerbread house decoration that I make and sell on Etsy. They are basic in production and construction, have a clear film window to show the product (which I placed in the 2D and 3D mockups to showcase a stronger visual of final package), and have minimalistic details to bring forth the attention to the decor that is inside. The flap to open is located on the bottom, where the disclaimer is located, and pulls up to reveal the crafted decor.
I was hired by a client to paint a painting of her children with their grandfather during important moments of their lives. The challenge with these pieces was that the grandfather was not present during the photos, because he had passed away when they were young. To work around this, I had to photoshop older images the client provided of the grandfather into the pictures the client wanted me to paint of her children (in addition to a few other changes that were not in the resources) These paintings were drawn and painted on stretched canvas with acrylic paint. On the back of each painting, I taped the reference images to show that while the grandfather was not physically present during these moments, he was there in spirit and is proud of their accomplishments.
I was asked by a co-worker to create an invitation for her sister's fiesta-themed diaper party. They wanted to use bright and bold colors as well as cacti since those were two largely incorporated elements of the event.
I was hired by a client to create the print materials for their wedding, such as the stationery, signage, graphics for the bachelorette party and bridal shower, and more. These are the pieces I created for the couple, and they loved all of them!
I was hired by a client to design their wedding invitation and RSVP card after a mix-up with their previous invitations. They wanted something simple yet elegant, and a design that showcased some of their favorite engagement shoot photos. These two designs needed to be designed within a day due to the bride and groom's deadline, and they loved the results!
I was hired by a client to design their wedding invitations. The use of translucent vellum on top of decorated card stock was exactly what the bride had in mind. She got to pick and choose every aspect of her invitation, making the vision in her head a perfect reality.
I was tasked with creating a few different projects for funeral arrangements by family and friends to help beautify the funeral services of such wonderful humans.
Marilyn Belvoix's Funeral: Marilyn's family had to have a "professional-looking" portrait made for her obituary and prayer cards, and found a wonderful picture of her, but not a flattering background. I was tasked to make her image more painterly and creative, but also clean and elegant, to do her legacy justice.
Barbara Drury's Funeral: Throughout the days following the visitation and funeral, which were extremely limited, I had to create a "professional portrait" of Barbara for publications (prayer cards, image for obituary in newspaper, etc.), as well as get an art piece previously created professionally printed, and create a program for the funeral service. The portrait was assigned by family and had to be completed in an hour, the art piece was an idea from family pushed to be submitted and printed in a day, and the program had to be assigned and created in an afternoon (four hours).
As a graphic designer, I have had to create my own icons/vectors to utilize the exact look and feel that I need for any given project. These are some examples of icons/vectors that I created from scratch that have been used in various design projects.
A professor of mine in college asked me to create a "painterly-like style" digital portrait of him and his family from a vacation they went on that previous summer. He wanted three images combined into one (with a clear distinction of each image), but wanted the images of the boys in water to have more of a flow to seem unified, yet distinct in the wavy water. This was the final product that he had professionally printed and hung in his home.
